Changes to Clinic Services during COVID-19 Pandemic

In order to adhere to the Public Health advice on "Social Distancing" to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19 infection, the Brownlee Clinic is taking active steps to reduce the number of patients having to attend in person.

We may therefore contact you in advance of your planned appointment to offer you the options of a telephone consultation or a video consultation using the secure NHS "Attend Anywhere" service. Some patients will still need to attend their appointment in person, for example, if they require to have blood tests or to collect supplies of medication. If we have not contacted you, then please attend your appointment in person as usual.

It is important that we have your contact details, so please let us know your current telephone/moble number and e-mail address. You can do this by calling the clinic on 0141 211 1074 or 0141 232 2175 or by email.

Please try to arrive at the clinic at the exact time of your appointment as there is now limited seating in the clinic's waiting area. For the same reason, please attend alone if possible.

Lonely, isolated and needing to talk? The Brownlee Peer Support service now provides support by phone or video. Talk with a trained peer volunteer - someone else also living with HIV. To access this service please contact the Patient Engagement Manager on 07950 472 336 or by email.

***Remember that if you are unwell with a fever/high temperature, have developed a new and persistent cough or have suddenly lost your sense of taste or smell, do NOT attend the Brownlee Clinic. Instead stay at home and seek advice on the NHS Inform website. Do phone the clinic on 0141 211 1074 or 0141 232 2175 to let us know that you are unable to attend.***

Patients now collect their HIV medication from the Brownlee pharmacy located in the Brownlee Centre or have supplies of medication delivered directly to their homes (Home Delivery).

Opening Hours of the Brownlee Pharmacy: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00

Please note that the Brownlee Pharmacy is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays so please check that you have enough HIV medication to cover you over the weekend!
